Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs the terms under which UpsNode ("Company", "we", "our") processes subscription cancellations and refund requests. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth herein.
1. Subscription Model
UpsNode operates on a prepaid, monthly subscription model. Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle and cover the Service for the entirety of that billing period. By subscribing, you authorise UpsNode and its payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, to charge your designated payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel or your subscription is otherwise terminated.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Cancellation does not take effect immediately; your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan.
How to Cancel:
- Log in to your UpsNode account and navigate to Settings → Billing.
- Click "Manage Subscription" to access the Lemon Squeezy customer billing portal.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to cancel your subscription.
- Alternatively, you may contact us at support@upsnode.com and we will process your cancellation request within one business day.
Upon the effective date of cancellation (end of the billing period), all paid-tier features, higher check frequencies, and extended monitor limits will be removed. Your account and monitoring data will be retained under the Free Plan entitlements.
3. No-Refund Policy
All subscription fees paid to UpsNode are non-refundable. This includes, without limitation:
- Partial-month or unused portions of a billing period following cancellation.
- Fees paid for any period during which you chose not to use the Service.
- Fees charged in connection with an automatic renewal that you failed to cancel prior to the renewal date.
- Downgrade scenarios, where you move from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier or Free plan mid-cycle.
We strongly encourage you to make full use of the Free Plan before committing to a paid subscription, and to cancel prior to your next renewal date if you do not intend to continue.
4. Exceptions and Discretionary Refunds
Notwithstanding the no-refund policy stated in Section 3, UpsNode reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue a refund or account credit in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to: verified billing errors, duplicate charges, or extended periods of complete service unavailability directly attributable to UpsNode infrastructure failures (as determined solely by UpsNode).
Such discretionary refunds do not establish a precedent, obligation, or entitlement to future refunds. To request a discretionary review, contact support@upsnode.com within 7 days of the disputed charge with your order details and a description of the circumstances.
5. Account Termination by UpsNode
If UpsNode terminates your account for cause (e.g., violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy), you will not be entitled to any refund of prepaid subscription fees. If UpsNode terminates your account without cause (e.g., discontinuation of the Service), we will provide a pro-rated refund for the remaining unused portion of your current billing period.
6. Payment Processor
All subscription payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for UpsNode. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed through Lemon Squeezy and credited back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider and may take up to 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
7. Free Plan
UpsNode offers a permanent Free Plan with no time limit. There are no charges associated with the Free Plan, and no cancellation action is required to remain on the Free Plan. Downgrading to the Free Plan by cancelling a paid subscription does not entitle you to a refund.
8. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the Service at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
