Are Your Emails Going to Spam? Monitor Your Spam Risk 24/7

Your site may be up while order confirmations, invoices, password resets and campaigns land in your customers' spam folder. Usually nobody notices; the customer just says "I never got the email" and leaves. UpsNode checks your domain's email setup and reputation every hour, shows your spam risk at a glance and tells you exactly what to do the moment something breaks.

  • Just enter your domain
  • Nothing added to your DNS or server
  • No code, plugins or installs

Why Do Emails Go to Spam? What We Check

Before accepting a message, Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo ask: "is this really from that company, and is the sender trustworthy?" When any of the following breaks, your mail gets rejected or spam-foldered.

SPF

The record that lists which servers may send mail for your domain.

We catch SPF records that exceed the 10-lookup limit, include broken domains or allow anyone (+all).

DKIM

A digital signature proving your mail wasn't altered in transit.

We auto-detect keys for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, SendGrid, Mailchimp and more, and flag missing, broken or weak (<1024-bit) keys.

DMARC

The policy that tells receivers what to do with mail failing SPF/DKIM.

Gmail and Yahoo have required DMARC from bulk senders since 2024. We flag missing or toothless (p=none) policies and spoofing exposure.

Blacklists

Spam databases like Spamhaus, Barracuda and SpamCop.

The moment your domain or sending IP lands on one of 9 major lists we alert you with the cause and the delisting link.

Reverse DNS (PTR)

Your mail server's IP saying "I am mail.yourcompany.com".

The most overlooked setting for self-hosted mail (VPS, cPanel, Plesk). Without a forward-confirmed PTR, Gmail rejects your mail; we tell you what to change in your hosting panel.

MTA-STS & BIMI

Encrypted delivery of mail sent to you, and your brand logo in the inbox.

We check whether your MTA-STS policy conflicts with your MX and loses incoming mail, and why your BIMI logo isn't showing.

At a Glance: Your Spam Risk

No need to understand the technical details. Every check rolls into one score, with the reasons in plain language.

Low

Nothing is hurting delivery. We'll tell you if that changes.

Medium

Your mail goes out but may hit spam at some providers. We show you the fix.

High

You're blacklisted or a critical setting is broken. Mail is likely being rejected; you get an instant alert.

Honest note: the score is an estimate based on your DNS setup, blacklists and sending IP reputation. No external service can see Gmail's or Outlook's internal delivery data without an install, and we don't ask you to install anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my emails are going to spam?
If customers say they never got your email, or order and password-reset mails end up in spam, start with your domain's SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup, blacklist status and your mail server's reverse DNS. UpsNode checks all of these every hour and shows your spam risk as Low / Medium / High.
Do I need to add anything to my DNS or server?
No. You only enter your domain. Every check runs from outside using public DNS records and blacklist queries. No records, code or software to add.
I use Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or cPanel mail. Does it work?
Yes. We auto-detect Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Yandex, Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo and more. For self-hosted mail (cPanel/Plesk) we also check reverse DNS (PTR).
Does the spam risk score show my real spam rate?
No, it's an estimate. Gmail's and Outlook's internal data isn't accessible from outside. The score is based on the known causes of spam placement (broken setup, blacklists, IP reputation). Fix those and your mail largely returns to the inbox.
What happens if I get blacklisted?
You get an alert the moment you land on a major list like Spamhaus or Barracuda, with the list name, the likely cause and the delisting link. We also tell you when you're removed.
What is a reverse DNS (PTR) record and why does it matter?
It maps your mail server's IP to a name (e.g. mail.yourcompany.com) that resolves back to the same IP. Since 2024 Gmail and Yahoo reject mail from servers without one. It's set in your server/VPS provider's panel, not in your domain DNS.
